On December 26-29, 2015 SOX Outdoors traveled to Kalamansig to discover & experience the various attractions of one of the two coastal towns of the Province of Sultan Kudarat and for the 2nd part of 2015 Christmas community outreach.
Together with friends and partners who were also adventure enthusiasts, bloggers, photographers and SOCCSKSARGEN tourism advocates, the group prepared simple Christmas gifts for at least 150 children in two far-flung communities in Brgy. Paril, Kalamansig.
These gift packs consisting of school supplies such as pencils, ballpen, crayons, erasers, notebooks, papers, story books and sharpeners, among others, were distributed to school children in Sitio Getang Kalabao and in Balot Island. The kids who were mostly from the Manobo tribe also received candies, fruit juices, and toys from our generous donors.
Aside from the gift-giving activity, the group also really enjoyed the beach, taking pictures of the beautiful & famed Kalamansig sunset, island hopping, and the food.
